The Houston Dynamo walked away with a point after a 0-0 draw against Charlotte FC, but once again, the biggest problem remains in the attack. Houston has now gone two straight games without scoring, and that has to be a major concern as the season moves into a crucial stretch.

The Dynamo’s defense continues to show its strength, keeping Charlotte off the scoreboard and doing its part to keep Houston in the game. But at the other end of the field, the Dynamo struggled to create enough dangerous opportunities to find the breakthrough.

Things became even more frustrating when Charlotte went down to 10 men in the second half. Houston had an opportunity to take control of the match, but the Dynamo still couldn’t find a goal.

A road point isn’t a terrible result, but for a team with playoff ambitions, Houston needs to start turning these performances into wins.

The defense is doing its job. Now, the attack needs to wake up. Because if the Houston Dynamo want to make a deep playoff run, they can’t continue relying on their defense to save them every night. Their next match back home against Real Salt Lake this Wednesday will once again provide a test at goal from both sides of the ball.
