HOUSTON, Texas (June 4, 2026) — Houston Dynamo defender Lucas Halter spent part of

Thursday giving back to the next generation of soccer players, participating in a youth training camp where he worked closely with local children, sharing advice, coaching tips, and helping lead drills.

Halter was actively involved throughout the session, interacting with young players,

demonstrating techniques and encouraging them to enjoy the game while continuing to develop their skills. The Brazilian defender took time to answer questions, sign autographs, and create memorable moments for the campers.

“It’s always special to spend time with kids who love soccer,” Halter said. “They bring a lot of

energy, and it’s important for us as players to help inspire them.”

The event also gave Halter an opportunity to discuss his recovery after suffering an injury earlier this season. The center back said his rehabilitation has been progressing well and that he continues to work hard to return to full fitness.

“I feel better every day,” Halter said. “The recovery process has gone well, and I’m focused on getting back on the field as soon as possible. The medical staff and coaches have been helping me every step of the way.”

Halter joined the Houston Dynamo ahead of the 2026 season after successful spells in Brazil,

where he established himself as a strong leader and defender. Since arriving in Houston, he has quickly become a respected figure within the club.

While his return date has not been officially confirmed, Halter remains optimistic about his

progress and is eager to help the Dynamo during the remainder of the season.

For the young players attending Thursday’s camp, the chance to learn directly from a

professional athlete was an unforgettable experience, and Halter’s presence highlighted the

club’s commitment to connecting with the Houston community.
