The Houston Dynamo made history on Wednesday night after beating the Seattle Sounders 1-0 at Lumen Field. It was the first time in club history that Houston won a league game in Seattle.

The Dynamo came into this game looking for a big win on the road after losing to Seattle 1-0 earlier this season at home. This time, Houston was able to get the result and take all three points.

Houston started the game looking to put pressure on Seattle and find an early goal. In the 26th minute, Lucas Halter scored the only goal of the game with a header off a corner kick from Mateusz Bogusz. It was Halter’s first MLS goal and gave the Dynamo a 1-0 lead.

After scoring, Houston continued to fight and looked to keep Seattle from creating dangerous chances. The Dynamo went into halftime with a 1-0 advantage, knowing they still had another 45 minutes to defend their lead.

In the second half, Seattle tried to find a way back into the game in front of its home fans. The Sounders looked for an equalizer, but Houston stayed organized and continued to defend its lead.

The Dynamo had to stay focused until the final whistle, making sure Seattle could not find the goal they needed. Houston held on to the 1-0 victory and secured a historic three points on the road.

Goalkeeper Jonathan Bond and the Dynamo defense helped secure another clean sheet. Houston recorded its 13th clean sheet of the season, tying the club record for most clean sheets in a single season.

This win was important for Houston as the team continues fighting for a top-four spot in the Western Conference while going through a seven-game winless streak. Beating Seattle on the road was not easy, but the Dynamo got the job done when it mattered.

After losing at home to Seattle earlier this season, Houston responded with a historic win on the road. Now the Dynamo will look to keep this momentum going as they continue their push in the standings with their last road game of the regular season against Portland Timbers this weekend.
