Dash fight back to beat Boston 2-1
The Houston Dash came away with a massive 2-1 road victory over Boston Legacy FC, showing resilience and finding a late winner to secure all three points in their first match under interim head coach Jaime Frias.
The Dash opened the scoring just before halftime. After a dangerous corner caused chaos inside the Boston penalty area, Danielle Colaprico reacted quickest to the loose ball and fired it into the back of the net. Houston went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
Boston came out aggressively after the break and eventually found the equalizer. Aïssata Traoré finished the opportunity to make it 1-1, putting the pressure back on Houston with just over 30 minutes remaining. The match was wide open, and the Dash needed another big moment.
With only five minutes remaining, Houston found the breakthrough.
Messiah Bright got on the end of a dangerous cross and headed the ball toward goal. After her first effort hit the woodwork, Bright stayed with the play and finished the rebound.

The late goal gave Houston the lead and ultimately secured the three points on the road.
Boston pushed for another equalizer late in the match, but Jane Campbell stood tall in goal, making crucial saves to protect Houston’s advantage. The Dash held on until the final whistle.
With a dramatic late winner on the road and renewed momentum, the Houston Dash now head to Portland to face a dangerous Thorns team. The Dash need nine points in their last five games to reach the playoff line.
