Rio Grande Valley FC Toros will be kicking off the 2019 USL Championship season when they visit Tacoma Defiance tonight while Houston Dynamo aim to go back to winning ways tomorrow as the Montreal Impact come to town.

Key Notes:

• With a record of 0W-2L-1D, RGVFC have yet to win a season opener in their short three-year history.

• The Toros are looking to bounce back after missing playoffs for the past two season and a combined record of 17W-22D-27L in that span.

• Houston looks to remain undefeated at home against Montreal Impact.

As the longest-tenured coach in RGVFC history, Gerson Echeverry looks to turn things around in his second second season in charge with some brand new weapons like Brad Dunwell from the Dynamo as well as returning players such as Camilo Monroy, Victor Garza, "Chuy" Enriquez, and Aldo Quintanilla. Looking forward for them to get back into shape and take a crack at playoffs again.

The Dynamo look to turn things around in Houston after settling with a draw against Real Salt Lake in Opening Day last week and losing 2-0 to Tigres UANL just a few days ago, all while Montreal Impact are coming off a road victory over San Jose Earthquakes to kick off their season. With a goal and an assist this past week, Montreal's Saphir Taider looks to exploit Houston's midfield alongside Ignacio Piatti and Maximiliano Urruti up front. The Dynamo look to claim a victory on Saturday while Cabeza's availability remains a mystery and Matias Vera and Ronaldo Peña remain suspended.
