Foxy Watch Guide: 2019 Draft Season

The 2019 regular season is just around the corner, which means Draft Season is here!

A tradition that can only be enjoyed in the eyes of the North American sports landscape, the MLS SuperDraft, the NWSL College Draft and its combines serve as a platform to help many young players from different walks of life to be noticed in the professional level.

Although not all players turn out to be success stories, the risks being taken by each player and each club in the process every year is a fascinating sight in the neutral standpoint.

2019 adidas MLS Player Combine

UPDATE: Schedule and rosters for all scrimmages has been added.

An eight-day event in Orlando, Florida designed to showcase the talents of more than 60 collegiate and other invited players through a series of scrimmages in front of every MLS club leading up to the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.

The initial list of players invited to the combine is available HERE.

All scrimmages are set to be streamed via MLSsoccer.com and the league's YouTube channel. A schedule for all scrimmages alongside the roster for each team can be found HERE.

2019 NWSL College Draft

UPDATE: New preliminary list of players registered for the draft has been added.

The seventh edition of the NWSL College Draft is taking place during the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Chicago, Illinois, with all nine teams in attendance.

The preliminary list of eligible players for the draft is available HERE. The complete list of eligible players will be made to the public on the day of the draft.

Houston Dash are entering the draft with six selections:

- 12th overall pick (Round 2, Pick 3) - acquired via trade with Orlando

- 13th overall pick (Round 2, Pick 4)

- 16th overall pick (Round 2, Pick 7) - acquired via trade with North Carolina Courage

- 18th overall pick (Round 2, Pick 9) - acquired via trade with North Carolina Courage

- 21st overall pick (Round 3, Pick 3) - acquired via trade with Orlando

- 22nd overall pick (Round 3, Pick 4)

The Dash traded their Round 1 pick to North Carolina Courage and traded their Round 4 pick to Washington Spirit last year.

The 2019 NWSL College Draft will be streaming live on the league's website, YouTube channel, and Facebook account.

UPDATE: Time change and complete list of eligible players for the draft have been added.

The twentieth iteration of this event is set to welcome expansion side FC Cincinnati to its first-ever SuperDraft along with the other 23 MLS clubs. The event is also taking place during the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Chicago, Illinois.

All 2019 adidas MLS Player Combine invitees are eligible for the draft.

Houston Dynamo are entering the draft with two selections:

- 8th overall pick (Round 1, Pick 8)

- 56th overall pick (Round 3, Pick 8)

The Dynamo traded their Round 2 pick to Chicago Fire more than a year ago and also traded their Round 4 pick to Real Salt Lake this past season.

The 2019 MLS SuperDraft will be streaming live on the league's website and YouTube channel.
