Fennec Fridays is a weekly segment that rounds up all the news items involving the Dynamo, Dash, or Toros that took place over the week.
This week was a fairly short-news week.

Houston Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell and forward Christen Press named to the U.S. Women's National Team roster for SheBelieves Cup
U.S. Soccer announced its roster ahead of the 2018 SheBelieves Cup, goalkeeper Jane Campbell and forward Christen Press were among the 23 names on the list to participate in the invitational tournament.
Campbell will be looking to extend her two caps after making her national team debut last year. While Press would be making her third SheBelieves Cup appearance and potentially going past her 97 caps and 44 goals with the Stars and Stripes.
2018 SheBelieves Cup will run from Thursday, March 1 to Wednesday, March 7.

Houston Dash forward Rachel Daly named to England Women's National Team roster for SheBelieves Cup
England Football Association announced that Rachel Daly will be representing the Lionesses for the 2018 SheBelieves Cup after forward Karen Casey withdrew from the England roster.
Daly recently re-signed with the Houston Dash after a career-high year with the club, scoring five goals and recording two assists, and she will be looking to extend her seven caps with England.

Houston Dynamo sign goalkeeper Michael Nelson and forward Mac Steeves
Houston Dynamo announced the signings of 2018 MLS SuperDraft selections Michael Nelson and Mac Steeves ahead of the team's regular season debut.
Houston native Michael Nelson made three appearances in the Dynamo's latest preseason campaign and posted two clean sheets and showing impressive potential. During his playing time with Southern Methodist University, he was named the American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year in three different occasions and helped the team win the American Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Championship this past year.
Mac Steeves raised some eyebrows after playing all five Dynamo preseason matches: scoring three goals and standing tall above the crowd. The forward was drafted out of Providence College and scored 35 goals during his college career.

Houston Dash sign forward Kyah Simon
Houston Dash announced the signing of Australian international forward Kyah Simon after the club claimed her rights in the first round of the 2018 NWSL Dispersal Draft.
Simon scored two goals in 14 appearances in her last stint this past year with Melbourne City FC in Australia, and scored three goals in 23 appearances with the Boston Breakers in 2016, her last appearance in NWSL. She has also recorded 23 goals in 76 caps with the Australian National Team.
The forward suffered a injury in her last match in Australia and will miss time with the Houston Dash at the beginning of the 2018 NWSL regular season. Currently there is no timetable for her return.
