Houston Dynamo FC today officially launched the Mission Control kit, the club’s striking new alternate jersey for the 2026 and 2027 MLS seasons. The release marks one of the most anticipated kit unveilings in recent club history, not only for its bold design but also for the meaningful story stitched into every detail.
In a meaningful continuation of partnership, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center returns as the front‑of‑kit sponsor.
A Jersey Rooted in Houston’s Identity
The Mission Control kit pays homage to Houston’s legacy as the global center for space exploration while looking ahead to the historic moment when the FIFA World Cup comes to Houston in 2026. More than a uniform, the kit symbolizes ambition, unity, and the city’s readiness to step into the international spotlight.
Every element of the design was intentionally chosen to reflect Houston’s role as Space City during a moment of global attention. The jersey features a satellite view of Houston, positioning the city as a focal point, just as it appears from orbit. Overlaying that imagery is a heat map pattern, representing the passion and heartbeat of soccer culture pulsing through Houston’s diverse neighborhoods and into Shell Energy Stadium.
“A Statement About Who Houston Is”
Dynamo Chief Marketing Officer Graham Wincott emphasized that the Mission Control kit is more than aesthetic, it’s a declaration of identity and future ambition.
“The Mission Control Kit is about more than a design. It is a statement about who Houston is and where we are headed. This city has always been a launchpad for big ideas, bold ambition and global moments. As the world’s game turns its attention to Houston in 2026, this kit represents our mindset: focused, united and ready for liftoff.”
Wincott added that the Dynamo cannot wait to see fans embracing the new look throughout the season as Houston showcases what it means to “bring the hustle.”
Design Elements of the Mission Control Kit

A detailed satellite image of Houston from space forms the jersey’s base. A dynamic orange pulse radiates outward symbolizing Dynamo energy, while hints of purple reflect Houston pride.
Mission Control Lightning Bolt
A lightning bolt, embedded within the heat map overlay, pinpoints Shell Energy Stadium, the electrifying home of Houston soccer.
Mission Control Neck Tag
The neck tag features a single word: “Houston.”A simple but powerful tribute to the first word spoken from the lunar surface and a reminder of the city’s pioneering role in space exploration.
Mission Control Jock Tag
The jock tag displays a globe stamped with a purple Dynamo crest, symbolizing Houston’s identity as a global city hosting the world’s game in 2026.
